This device applies a constant load to the test reduction gear, measures torque and angle, and assesses transmission characteristics. By using various load benches, it is capable of measuring 'efficiency', 'angle transmission error', 'starting torque', 'no-load running torque', and 'stiffness (lost motion)'. The hardware is controlled by software to perform measurements and data collection. The load torque of the sample is measured using a strain gauge type torque sensor.
